Welcome to the official website of byD’zign, LLC, a company built on a remarkable journey filled with invaluable experiences. I am Scott Wilson, the proud owner of this thriving enterprise, and I am delighted to share the story of our establishment.
On January 25th, 2020, just before the onset of the global pandemic, byD’zign, LLC came into existence. However, the path leading to its formation started several years prior, while I pursued my three degrees in Graphic Design, Website Development, and Mass Communications during my college years.
In fact, there was a predecessor to byD’zign, LLC known as ScottWilsonArtwork, LLC. Both businesses shared a common vision: to provide Visual Communications services, assisting other businesses in creating compelling visual imagery to promote their brands. ScottWilsonArtwork, LLC was established approximately three years before byD’zign, LLC while I attended Pueblo Community College (PCC). It was during my pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications at Colorado State University Pueblo (CSUP) that I recognized a significant flaw in the name of my business, ScottWilsonArtwork, LLC. The name inadvertently evoked associations with an "Art Gallery" or "Fine Art," rather than a Visual Communications agency. Furthermore, by incorporating my name into the company's identity, I risked jeopardizing my personal reputation if the business were to face any setbacks. It became evident that rebranding was necessary, armed with the newfound knowledge I had acquired. Thus, began the quest for a new business name.
The Birth of byDzign
Interestingly, as I navigated the challenges of college life and contemplated the rebranding process, a family member launched her accounting business and sought my assistance in developing her brand identity. As she actively referred clients to me, the pressure to establish my own brand identity intensified, necessitating the creation of a logo, business cards, letterhead, and website. I was in search of a name that would encapsulate the diverse aspects of a graphic design business while exuding creativity. And then, it happened! One day, as I drove down the street near CSUP, the name "Bydesign" seemingly materialized within my mind. It was akin to a moment of epiphany, and I thought, "That's a perfect name for my business!" Filled with excitement, I hastened home and promptly visited the Colorado Secretary of State's website to determine the availability of the name "Bydesign, LLC." Regrettably, my heart sank when I discovered that it had been registered a mere 14 months prior to my revelation. However, the name resonated so deeply with me that I tapped into my creativity. Before long, the concept of byD’zign, LLC took shape—a clever wordplay that was fortunately available for registration on the Colorado Secretary of State's website. Without hesitation, I secured the name and officially established byD’zign, LLC on January 25th, 2020, blissfully unaware of the turbulent events that would soon grip the world. As fate would have it, the timing of the company's establishment aligned seamlessly with my final semester at CSUP, where my coursework centered around electronic media—a perfect complement to the direction of my business. Thus, the transition to remote work felt organic and seamless.
Since its inception, byD’zign, LLC has thrived, moving from a home-based operation to a physical office space, and experiencing consistent growth week after week. This continuous progress has allowed me to refine my skills, becoming even more proficient in my craft. Consequently, byD’zign, LLC signifies not only an accomplished destination but also an ongoing journey of self-discovery and personal growth.
