It is Thursday, March 19 and I have noticed something interesting. I do not know if anyone else is noticing this or not, but I thought I would put it out there and see if anyone else is noticing this. So, here is what I have noticed.
Before the shutdown of our nation on many fronts due to the #COVID-19 virus, I was getting a huge amount of junk email on a daily basis. I mean, I would go in and clear out my junk email at least a couple times a week. So, what is interesting is I have noticed since everything has shut down that the amount of junk email has slowed way down. I mean, I am so use to the junk email coming in that I don’t know what to do! Laughing out loud. What do you think is the cause of this? Is it that businesses are shutting down and not running their marketing campaigns? What could be the cause?
It makes sense in a way because businesses are shutting down. However, email marketing campaigns are still very important in a successful marketing strategy. The only problem is that spam email has become so vast that it creates noise that drowns out emails from legitimate companies trying to promote their products and services. Which has hurt the email strategy of marketing. But this is another topic for another day.

Going back to the slowing of email topic, it doesn’t make sense that the majority of emails would just slow down as most email and social media marketing campaigns can be run remotely. What do you think? Leave a message and let me know what insights you may have.
